AcrossCan - Canadian Search Engine

AcrossCan is an exclusively Canadian search engine owned and operated in Canada. The project was conceived after ongoing difficulty attempting to find Canadian results from the larger search engines. Our goal is to provide a search engine with Canadian only results.

AcrossCan is owned and operated by Canadians and is located in the small rural community of New Hamburg, Ontario. Our servers are located at 151 Front Street, Toronto, the internet heart of Canada. Our logo was designed by the talented folks at Logobee in Montreal.

The search engine itself is based on an open source program called Nutch. In addition we have seeded the search engine with Canadian websites to ensure high quality Canadian search results. All web site submissions are manually reviewed before being entered in the search engine.
